Have you migrated to Ireland and now struggling to find work?

If you live in in Galway, Monaghan or Castlebar, you can benefit from a 13 week Welcome to Work programme.  Not only will it boost your chances of securing a job, you will make new friends, it will help you integrate into the Irish community and broaden your opportunities for a better life.

You can benefit from a wide range of support:

  • Attend intensive English lessons – A qualified tutor will help you with every day and work place English from buying a bus ticket through to reading a timesheet.
  • Get your existing skills and qualifications recognised  – One to one advice on the process, if you need top up your qualifications with further training and how to get them acknowledged with employers 
  • Understand Irish workplace customs – The history and culture, how to behave and communicate as well as how to develop your social skills.
  • Learn how to apply for jobs and be successful at interviews – Create personalised covering letters and winning CV’s, learn how to fill in application forms and discover  how you should self-market yourself at interview.
  • Gain computer skills – Develop your digital skills with  training  sessions on how to search and apply for work online
  • Start your own business – Receive information on becoming self-employed, how to  manage your finances and market yourself
  • Build up your confidence and self-esteem – With one to one and group sessions, meet people in the same situation and make friends
